Our friend Luella P is teaching a summer camp for middle school age kids at the Carnegie Center – the kids will l earn about Lexington history, explore urban gardens, discover the process behind community revitalization projects, and create art pieces that will energize our city in preparation for the World Equestrian Games. They will participate in the process of designing an outdoor gallery for the Isaac Murphy Memorial Art Garden and use multiple media to create colorful and informative art pieces. I was there this morning to talk about the design; we did an “imagination” walk-thru. Stay tuned for more from this wonderful camp.
