Can Renewable Energy Save Sprawl?

When Exxon spends big money on full page ads in mainstream business magazines advertising the “new energy future” we should be very alert.  They are telling us something beyond what good corporate global citizens they are.  They really are saying that energy is about to get a whole lot more expensive. (and this includes coal – extracting and transporting coal is very energy intensive, most of which comes from petroleum.)
