The crisis will come when we reach the environmental limits to supporting our lifestyle. Once at those limits – and we are very near them now – we are likely to see our civilization (who we are) and our our lifestyle (what we do) as the same thing. In that confusion, we will perhaps view the rest of the world as our enemy, and risk war in the name of preserving our ‘civilization’.”I did.
