Parade to the post at Keeneland Race Course Lexington Kentucky

I think the jumbo tron and the cartoon horses running the races and the fake stone take away from the view these days.  But they didnt ask me.  I still love it.  And the cool thing is that the long distance view basically hasn’t changed since the beginning.  THAT’s a tradition that we need to keep.

Gotta love the mission of Keeneland:

“Located at Lexington, KY., in the heart of the famed Blue Grass region, Keeneland is a non-profit race course, dedicated to the principle from it’s conception, that horse racing is a sport before it is a business. Stockholders receive no dividends, and officers and directors serve without pay. All profits go to charitable, educational, and research institutions.”  Sounds a shade like….socialism.  And damn, I like that shade.
