I think the jumbo tron and the cartoon horses running the races and the fake stone take away from the view these days. But they didnt ask me. I still love it. And the cool thing is that the long distance view basically hasn’t changed since the beginning. THAT’s a tradition that we need to keep.
Gotta love the mission of Keeneland:
“Located at Lexington, KY., in the heart of the famed Blue Grass region, Keeneland is a non-profit race course, dedicated to the principle from it’s conception, that horse racing is a sport before it is a business. Stockholders receive no dividends, and officers and directors serve without pay. All profits go to charitable, educational, and research institutions.” Sounds a shade like….socialism. And damn, I like that shade.
