Scenes from the Legacy Trail

Rode the trail from downtown to the North Trailhead and then back through East End, by Isaac Murphy Memorial Art Garden, to my house – at least 21 miles.  16 of those were car free. And so great to be out in the country – it just doesn’t seem real that we can be out in the country – safely – so easily.

It’s just amazing to see so many happy people using the thing.  The phrase “most important public open space in Lexington’s recent history” came to my mind. I think that’s what it is.

And we have plans in the works to make it even better.  Benches, trees, trash cans, more art, more signs.  Stay tuned.
